PARTICIPANT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By participating in the Latino Veterans & First Responders 5K, I understand that running, walking, and related event activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, weather conditions, traffic, course conditions, and other risks that may result in injury, illness, disability, property damage, or death.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless SSG Jason Vazquez American Legion Post 939, its officers, members, volunteers, sponsors, partners, event organizers, and affiliated entities from claims arising from my participation in the event, except to the extent such release is prohibited by law.

I certify that I am physically able to participate and authorize reasonable emergency medical treatment if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

I also grant permission for photographs, video, or other recordings taken of me during the event to be used for legitimate promotional and informational purposes without compensation.

PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT FOR MINORS

If the participant is under 18 years of age, I certify that I am the participant’s parent or legal guardian, or that the participant’s parent or legal guardian has authorized this registration. I consent to the minor’s participation in the event and acknowledge and agree to the Participant Waiver & Release of Liability on the minor’s behalf to the fullest extent permitted by law.
